PS-Quote is a software program which allows manufactures of flexible packaging to cost and quote their products from extrusion through to printing, laminating, and converting. Users of the software can construct custom or stock product specifications including raw materials, run and scrap rates, as well as labor and overhead costs. PS-Quote is capable of costing film substrates with up to 10 layer blends. This sophisticated costing tool provides analysis by margin, price or net profit with a push of a button as well the ability to automatically incorporate any future raw material costs. PS-Quote’s integrated quoting module enables the user to create and email detailed quotes for multiple quantities and in various units of measure. The software maintains all quote history and enables the user to quickly recall them. Reports provide the company with analysis of value-in-the-pipeline, margin and win/loss ratios as a whole or by sales reps, markets, and customers. Plastisoft Corporation is announcing its intention to follow up its recent release of PS-Quote with the additions of other software tools designed exclusively for the flexible packaging industry.

Plastisoft intends to release set of tools which can be used by flexible packaging extruders, laminators printers and converters to reduce waste, increase productivity, and provides customers with increased customer satisfaction. Plastisoft has worked with the flexible packaging industry for over 15 years creating software and enterprise systems for companies world-wide. By listening to the needs of its customers, the Plastisoft has decided to invest in developing an array of tools which may be used separately or in unison to aid flexible packaging manufacturers in their daily operation. Unlike any other enterprise software, this system will be relatively inexpensive and be implemented in modules so companies will avoid the overnight interferences caused by current ERPs. PS-Schedule will provide flexible packaging specific functionality to schedule jobs with multiple processes by maximizing raw materials while minimizing machine setup, increasing capacity and reducing scrap. PS-Lean will provide management with shop-floor scrap and down-time information in an automated single location. By using state of the art technology it will gather time and scrap information into a dashboard that will provide complete material traceability and assist in scrap reduction. PS-Shop will be user friendly touch screen with functionality to provide automated bar code label printing on the shop floor for greater traceability. PS-Inventory will keep accurate track of raw materials through to finished goods and shipments.
