Job description:
We are a Toronto based software
development company specializing in software
solutions and tools for the Flexible
Packaging Industry. Our clients are North
American based. We are small and growing
fast with a dynamic team and a big future.
We are looking for a Project Manager to plan
and direct the implementation and training
of software systems for the Flexible
Packaging Industry. These projects typically
involve multiple technologies or impact more
than one area of the business within
aggressive timelines
The Project Manager is the leader in the
implementation process for the project, for
our clients. The Project Manager will review
and come to agreement with the client for
the allowed timeline for the tasks assigned
and work as required to maintain the goals
as a priority. The Project Managers value
to the company and our clients is the
technical specialty that they bring to our
company and the substantial impact their
expertise provides for successful outcomes
for the Corporation and our clients.
Accountabilities:
1. Plans, schedules, organize, direct,
controls and completes all software,
installation and of assigned projects and
tasks. Coordinates technical resources as
required to insure timely and cost effective
installation and completion of assigned
tasks and projects on a weekly basis, or as
specified. Manages the customer support
department in tandem with implementation
projects.

3. Maintains timeline of assigned tasks to
the baseline. Effectively communicates the
schedule of assigned tasks to client
supervisor and project manager(s) on a
weekly basis or as specified.
4. Maintains financial goals by maintaining
and adhering to the assigned budget.
Effectively communicates financial status of
tasks and assignments to client supervisor
and project managers.
5. Develops and manages tools to maintain
and enhance projects technical and
operational performance. Uses the analysis
tools to define project problems and
solutions.
6. Maintains and increases proficiency
within the subject area through self study,
actual courses taken, on the job training to
ensure conversant and able for projects, our
customers and other staff.
7. Coordinates and provides documentation
for the project file including
correspondence, preliminary scheduling,
requests for information and timelines.
Produces high quality communications.
8. Coordinate and delivers the
implementation job process to include
coordination with other team members or
outside consultants as required. Oversees
project for compliance with specifications,
codes, installation techniques and safety
activities. Creates detailed job submittals
for the project for delivery to the client.
9. Works with the Clients and team to ensure
that lead times are sufficient for on-time
delivery.
Qualifications
Experience in the Flexible Packaging
industry an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Projects
Relevant degree and/or equivalent work
experience.
Minimum of 5 years progressive business
experience including management of projects
and programs.
Proven experience in business
applications/technology solutions.
Expertise in complex processes and their
application with the organization and/or
business area.
Expertise in project management
discipline/protocols.
PMP (Project Management Professional)
designation preferred.
Strong command of the English language,
verbal and written
